Companies are in business to make money, which means all resources within a company need to be performing at an optimal level. Staff are probably the biggest resource a company can have. So, it is vital that they are supported in order to allow them to deliver at their best.

This in turn will make the company as profitable as possible. So, by offering assistance the company facilitates improvement in each individual employee's performance which in turn benefits the company.

It also increases the benefits that individuals obtain from the company. Thus it can be seen that optimising people's resource levels works both ways.

It supports company profit and stability as well as allowing for increased levels of personal satisfaction and remuneration.

This becomes a virtuous circle in that once the dynamic of support is in place both company and employee are mutually locked in to a self supporting system of performance improvement.

Newlife also offers in-house Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP's) for staff members of organisations. EAP's give staff access to all the programmes mentioned on this web site, allowing them to overcome work-related or personal issues that limit performance.

Staff often feel they cannot talk to other employees of the company itself for obvious reasons and as a result a small problem that could have been handled with ease at an early stage when untreated becomes a potentially serious employee and employer issue.

Companies with effective EAP's in place have significant improvement in productivity and staff absenteeism.
